Schroder & Strom hire May as an associate attorney

Mineola, NY According to Schroder & Strom, Jeremy May has joined the firm as an associate attorney.

May earned his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra Law School, following his undergraduate degree in History at Long Island University at CW Post Campus. May was admitted to the New York Bar in 2013 and worked extensively with the Nassau County Attorney’s Office immediately following graduation.

May is a member of the Nassau County and Suffolk County Bar Associations and is a new member of the Westbury-Carle Place Chamber of Commerce.

May began his career in law as a post-graduate volunteer with the County’s Legal Counsel Bureau for one year. His career in real property tax litigation with Nassau County’s Tax Certiorari Bureau commenced in January 2014 as a deputy county attorney and starting in 2015 as counsel to the Assessment Review Commission.

From early 2018 through December 2021, May held the positions of vice chairperson, commissioner, and internal counsel to the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission (ARC). As of October 2021, he was appointed Acting Chairperson of ARC and oversaw the daily functioning of the entire Commission (60 employees) as well as conducted all Board Meetings.
