Rosenblatt joins CBC Alliance as executive managing director

According to Richard Selig, principal of Coldwell Banker Commercial (CBC) Alliance, Jeffrey Rosenblatt, a commercial real estate veteran with 30 years of commercial real estate experience and 20 million s/f of closed transactions, has joined the firm as executive managing director. In his new position, he will provide commercial real estate brokerage services for both tenants and owners throughout the N.Y.C. "Jeff's appointment is the latest outstanding addition to CBC Alliance, a growing team committed to providing exceptional client servicing and unmatched Manhattan market insight," said Selig. Peter Sabesan, principal, said, "Our vision for growing this firm has been to identify and bring in people of Jeff's caliber into our mix of professionals. We look forward to working with Jeff and the other leaders of this firm as we continue to implement our strategic plan that will ensure CBC Alliance emerges into the industry force we have been cultivating since its launch." Rosenblatt said, "I'm thrilled to join my new colleagues on the CBC Alliance team, whom I regard as some of the best and brightest in our industry. This is a firm with a strong future and I look forward to playing an integral part in its continued success." He joins CBC Alliance from his most recent role at Newmark Knight Frank, where he served as a senior managing director since 2009 and was named to their top producers list a number of times. Prior to his stint at Newmark, Rosenblatt spent seven years as an executive managing director in the New York City office of Grubb & Ellis where he was honored several times as part of their Circle of Excellence. He also held positions at several other major brokerages throughout his career, including Cushman & Wakefield, Grubb & Ellis, and Helmsley-Spear. Earlier, he began his career at Newmark Knight Frank before returning again in 2009. Rosenblatt has closed over 20 million square feet of transactions throughout his career, representing both tenants and owners. Some of his most recent successful transactions include securing a 10-year, 13,742 s/f lease for the Big East athletic conference at 655 Third Ave. as well as a 15-year 70,000 s/f lease at 116 West 32nd St. for the CUNY School for Professional Studies. In addition, he closed almost 100,000 s/f of leases at 5 Columbus Circle to Fordham University, Columbia University and Millennium Partners, among others, bringing the building to 100% occupancy; a 160,000 s/f renewal for IBM in its 590 Madison Ave. headquarters as well as an additional 95,000 combined s/f of subleases for IBM at 404 Fifth Ave.; a renewal valued at $20 million for CEMEX, the largest cement manufacturing company in the world, for its U.S. headquarters at 590 Madison Avenue; an approximately 30,000 s/f lease renewal for Vince Camuto Shoes at 1370 Ave of the Americas; and additional leases for the Susan Komen Foundation and Keller Williams at 425 Park Ave. A long-time member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), Rosenblatt has earned numerous industry honors for his accomplishments, including the REBNY "Most Ingenious Deal of the Year" award for creating the Fashion Footwear Center at 1414 Avenue of the Americas. Among his community contributions, Mr. Rosenblatt collaborated with REBNY to form the Michael Wolf Scholarship Fund, which provides college scholarships based on academic and athletic achievements. Rosenblatt received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Marketing from the City University of New York.
