Roland's Electric, Inc. conducts a Stuff-A-Truck Long Island Cares Food Drive

Roland's Electric, Inc., an electrical contracting company on Long Island, has launched their Stuff-A-Truck Food Drive which runs now on weekdays through Friday, November 21st. All donations brought to the lobby drop boxes at their headquarters, located at 307 Suburban Ave., Deer Park, or to their job sites all over Long Island will benefit Long Island Cares, Inc. Over 300,000 Long Islanders go hungry every single day, including over 110,000 Long Island children. To ease the hunger, Roland's Electric will be collecting bags, boxes, and pallets of new unopened non-perishable food, pet food, personal care items, baby products, birthday, and school supplies (see expanded list on their website rolandselectric.com). Stephen Cadieux, president of Roland's Electric said, "110,000 children going hungry every day on Long Island is unacceptable - so Roland's Electric will match check donations we collect (made out to 'Long Island Cares, Inc.') up to $2,500 and I will personally send my own trucks to pickup large donations of a pallet or more from the community anywhere in Nassau or Suffolk County." Call Barbara at 631-242-8080, ext. #31 to arrange. Long Island Cares, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), founded by the late singer-songwriter, Harry Chapin that delivers food to more than 580 community sites in Nassau and Suffolk Counties providing meals or food to families.
