Roberts of CPEX promoted as COO

In recognition of the contributions of managing director Greg Roberts, the firm has promoted him to COO. In this role he will oversee the company's day to day operations and will work with managing partners Brian Leary and Timothy King. As COO, Roberts' role encompasses company systems, accounting, human resources, public relations and business development. "During the past year, Greg has proven himself to be an invaluable resource to our firm" said Leary. Roberts has experience working in both finance and hospitality. He has opened the Ritz Carlton Battery Park Hotel, the St. Regis Los Angeles Hotel, Cipriani Toy Building, and the Rubin Museum of Art. Roberts was an instrumental member of each property's pre-opening planning team. In addition, he served as VP of business development for Furnished Quarters, New York's largest corporate housing company. He also spent three years as a clerk for Eagle futures on the NYMEX. Roberts earned an AAS in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management from Johnson & Wales University. He is a member of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and Who's Who Historical Society of Professionals.
