RKF brokers 875 s/f lease

HANRO of Switzerland signed a long-term lease for 875 s/f at 808-10 Washington St. in the Meatpacking District for one of the brand's first U.S. locations. The boutique, which has 20 ft. of frontage, joins retailers Christian Louboutin Men's, Vanita Rosa, Jay Godfrey and Intermix at the property, and completes retail leasing along Washington St. at the base of the building. RKF managing director Beth Rosen and associate Zachary Beloff represented HANRO in the transaction, while RKF executive vice president Karen Bellantoni and director Pamela Haber represented building ownership, TF Cornerstone. "The Meatpacking District is an exciting retail destination for locals and tourists alike due to the High Line, The Standard Hotel and luxury retailers like Intermix, Diane von Furstenberg, Tory Burch, Theory and many others," said Bellantoni. "We are pleased to complete leasing along Washington Street at the newly renovated property, which is adjacent to the High Line and the soon-to-come Whitney Museum." RKF is currently marketing the 90 Gansevoort phase of the project, which consists of 9,130 square feet. The space can be subdivided into smaller space, and can also be combined with another space at West Street for an additional 8,340 square feet. "HANRO is joining a top-notch retail group and we are especially pleased to have secured the U.S. flagship," said Steve Gonzalez, Head of Retail Leasing for TF Cornerstone. "The continued interest in this particular location reiterates that the Meatpacking District is the definitive bellwether of contemporary, high-end fashion in New York. We expect that the 90 Gansevoort phase will draw similarly strong interest from luxury retailers."
