Reckson/SL Green awarded Energy Star status for three Westchester County properties
According to Reckson, a division of SL Green Realty Corp., in association with SL Green's sustainable initiatives, initially spearheaded by the LEED EB Silver Certification at 100 Park Ave., three more buildings in the firm's suburban Westchester County property portfolio have been awarded Energy Star Labels by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
140 Grand St. in White Plains, 500 Summit Lake Dr. in Valhalla, and 3 Reckson Executive Park in Rye Brook, all class A office properties, have each been recognized by the agency for their outstanding performance in energy efficiency.
Three other properties in Reckson/SL Green's Westchester/Connecticut portfolio, namely 750 Washington Blvd. in Stamford, Conn.; 360 Hamilton Ave. in White Plains; and 500 West Putnam in Greenwich, Conn., received Energy Star awards last October.
"It's gratifying to be recognized for our market leading sustainable efforts," said John Barnes, senior VP and senior director at Reckson. "We are excited about the possibilities that lay ahead as we continue to implement our aggressive energy saving initiatives at properties throughout our portfolio."
