Brentwood, NY Ron Epstein of RC Commercial Partners leased two stores at Palm Plaza shopping center.
Palm Plaza Grocery Corp, operating as Compare Foods, has opened an 8,000 s/f supermarket. This is the fourth and largest store to date for the operator, Jose Urena.
Compare Foods has the size to offer fresh food and national brands at competitive prices, as well as the ability to provide a wide selection of traditional foods to serve the local community. “We saw that this market is not being properly served by the stores that are here,” said Urena. “We also recognized this as a tremendous opportunity to grow our business to the next level. We are very excited to be a part of the community and thankful for the warm reception we’ve had during our opening.”

Palm Plaza Laundromat also opened a 4,000 s/f space at the shopping center, the largest laundry in the area, with 132 washers and dryers.
The Palm Plaza, a brand new 12,000 s/f shopping center located at 1070 Islip Ave., is 100% leased. Epstein represented the landlord and tenant in both lease transactions.
When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
