Racanelli Construction completes $6 million interior construction project for ShopRite

Huntington, NY Racanelli Construction Company, Inc. completed an interior construction project for a 65,000 s/f ShopRite supermarket located in the Huntington Commons Shopping Center.

The project involved a complete interior fit-out of the new store location, as well as building offices for management, employee common areas, restroom facilities, and back of the house warehouse storage accommodations. All new mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems were installed along with remote terminal units (RTUs), and an emergency back-up generator. Also installed were LED lighting and kitchen equipment with hoods.

Among the construction elements of the project were drywall partitions, acoustical ceiling tiles (ACTs), polished concrete and epoxy flooring. Additionally, the project entailed the installation of all store fixtures.

The ShopRite interior construction project was valued at $6 million.

When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
