Racanelli Construction Co., Inc., recently participated in the American Heart Ride, a challenging cycling experience and fundraising program to support the American Heart Association.
The Racanelli team members joined other of cycling enthusiasts who share their commitment to supporting this worthy cause and helping encourage healthier lives where cardiovascular disease and stroke can be minimized.
The Racanelli team and others in the Long Island ride cycled in courses of 27, 59, or 100 miles depending on the skills in a route which included Long Island's scenic East End. The Racanelli team raised $148,981.
The funds generated from the Heart Ride are applied to research, medical and consumer education and public advocacy.
The Racanelli organization is a longstanding supporter of the American Heart Association. Racanelli president Nicholas Racanelli is the chairman of the board, Northeast Region for The American Heart and Stroke Association and co-founder of the American Heart & Stroke Century Ride.
