Racanelli Construction Co. attains platinum level in ABCs’ National safety prog.

Melville, NY Racanelli Construction Company, Inc., a leading construction management, general contractor and design/build resource for commercial, industrial, retail, medical, pre-engineered and multi-unit residential projects, was confirmed by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) at the Platinum Level in 2021 for safety. The achievement is recognition of Racanelli Construction as a company that exhibits a continued commitment to jobsite and whose safety performance and programs are judged to be at the highest level by the ABC National Health and Safety Committee.

At Racanelli Construction, the company’s safety initiatives are led by Douglas Winter, director of safety – OSHA trainer/BCSP-CHST. Winter, a highly credentialed safety professional, works to enure the company’s compliance with all workplace safety regulations and, in particular, those  pertaining to the construction jobsite. Extensive safety training is ongoing at the company to raise the awareness of employees regarding potential hazards, prevent accidents, and educate workers regarding applicable OSHA regulations. A written safety plan is in place to identify and mitigate hazards.

As a Platinum STEP member company, Racanelli Construction is now eligible to apply for ABC’s National Safety Excellence Award.
