Charles Hirsch is the president of Milbrook Properties, Ltd., Manhasset, N.Y. What was one of your corporate or career highlights of the decade? Over the last decade, Milbrook Properties, Ltd. has grown from owning several multifamily residential properties throughout the NY metropolitan area, into a company that now also owns and operates a substantial portfolio of commercial properties throughout the east coast. Our most significant deal was a 1031 transaction in 2008 which consisted of the sale of a large residential property in N.Y.C. in which we acquired six commercial properties with a total value of almost $200 million dollars. We believe that there will be many opportunities in the next decade for experienced property owners who have taken a conservative approach to their acquisitions and growth.
