What was one of your corporate or career highlights of the decade?
The most memorable career experience of the decade was our assemblage of a former 5 1/2 acre industrial property located at the intersections of the Brooklyn communities of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Williamsburg and Fort Greene. Over a five year period, we re-developed the property into "DeKalb Plaza" which today is the site of a top-performing 130,000 s/f Home Depot Store and a 63,000 s/f U.S. Department of Labor Job Corps Vocational School. Working closely with the local community groups, politicians, U.S. Government and representatives of a large national retailer to make this happen was certainly a unique challenge for us.
