What is your management style?

I want to think my management style is more free form. I like collaboration within my team. I will not micromanage anyone unless they perform in a manner that requires that. Everyone is different so it’s not a one management style fits all. I try to be as empathetic as possible. I completely understand there is a life outside of work all I ask is while you’re here give 115%

Describe what you would consider to be ONE of your top career highlights:

This may not be a career highlight perse but to have say to have all my sons follow in my footsteps and enter the construction industry is a testament to how great this industry is. I feel they saw in me the passion I had for being in this industry and it trickled down to them.

What advice would you give the next generation of leaders in your industry?

Gain as much knowledge as you can from the people you currently work under, they won’t be there forever. Secondly this is a very social business, fortunately with the pandemic almost behind take the time and meet people. Go to as many networking events as possible. Get your brand known. You never know who you might meet and simply it’s just good to meet people.
