New York, NY According to Daun Curry Design Studio, (DCDS) interior designer Paris Grant is joining the firm as studio director.
As studio director, Grant will be directly involved in strategic planning and hiring, managing clients and projects across verticals, and helping to guide design development.
“Our projects continue to grow in size and geographic scope, so we felt Paris was a natural fit,” said Daun Curry, principal.
“I’ve known her for years, she is passionate about design and her skills are exceptionally well suited to a position of leadership within our firm.” Grant is equally enthusiastic, referring to Daun as “a master of her craft.”
Grant’s aesthetic, which involves sophisticated comfort blended with a vibrant, modern sensibility, is rooted in the history of both art and design. She consistently drives trends through the implementation and juxtaposition of various styles in creative and unexpected ways. Her gravitation towards exceptional craftsmanship, luxurious materials, and deriving inspiration from diverse sources are qualities that render her an excellent addition to the DCDS team.
A natural complement to an expanding team of talented and creative tastemakers, Grant is a New York School of Interior Design alumna and has worked as a senior designer with design legends such as AD 100 designer Jamie Drake and Pembrooke & Ives. An entrepreneur herself, Grant helmed her own eponymous design firm for nearly four years—leading to features of her work in Architectural Digest and Elle Decor among other luxury shelter publications.
The firm’s clients range from notable brands to influential individuals, including The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Sotheby’s, Morgans Hotel Group, Moroccanoil, Jemma Wynne, Naomi Watts, and YouTube star Casey Neistat. Daun Curry Design Studio projects—which span the country—are known for their rich, nuanced narratives layered with one-of-a-kind custom designs.
In Grant’s free time, the Georgia native serves on the Board of Directors of Alpha Workshops and relishes her time with her husband and son in their Chelsea neighborhood. The most recent addition to the DCDS team, Grant joins notable new hires Trisha Awasthi, Interior Design Project Manager, and Morgan Woodcock, Interior Designer.
