What was your most notable project 2017?

Dairy Queen in Medford. It was my most notable because is brought the most satisfaction to me when it opened its doors in December 2017. I met Michelle Robey & her sister Patricia, the franchisees, in 2014 and was eager to help them achieve their dream of owning & operating a Dairy Queen Restaurant. The project was encumbered by many obstacles from various agencies but through our hard work & Michelle’s dedication, it eventually got approved & was constructed. Seeing their smiles on opening day was the best satisfaction to me knowing that my efforts was able to make their dream a reality.

If you have had a mentor in your career, who was it and what did they teach you? 

Thomas Filazzola, PE. Tom was my manager at my first engineering job, training and eventually mentoring me in the Engineering field. Since then, he has become both a personal friend and trusted colleague, in addition to being one of my biggest supporters. He has always encouraged me to believe in myself and taught me to have confidence in my knowledge & abilities. And since being a woman in the male-dominated engineering field takes broader shoulders and more confidence, Tom has continually helped me to get to the place I am today by instilling the confidence necessary to avoid anything standing in the way of my success.
