Queens, NY EW Howell Construction Group, one of the region’s leading education, retail, cultural, government and healthcare builders, has been selected by the School Construction Authority to complete an 82,000 s/f addition and renovation at P.S. 303 in the Forest Hills section. The $66 million project at 108-55 69th Ave. is designed by Rawlings Architecture, with an expected completion of January 2021.
P.S. 303, also known as the Academy for Excellence Through the Arts, hosts students from kindergarten through fifth grade. EW Howell will provide services for a new addition to the school that will double its original capacity, as well as a renovation of the existing school building. The new facilities will include a cafeteria and kitchen, two-story gymnatorium, science rooms, reading library and special education rooms. The P.S. 303 project will be completed in three phases: phase 1 will consist of building the new addition, phase 2 is a construction link to join the new addition to the existing building, while phase 3 includes the renovation of the existing building.
