New York, NY On Wednesday, April 27, Madison Square Boys & Girls Club hosted its 4th Annual Youth of the Year Dinner at Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers. Over 600 attendees and thousands of contributors participated in celebrating four outstanding inner city youth that exemplified academic excellence, community involvement, an honorable character, and resilient lifelong goals.
Madison is one of the oldest Boys & Girls Clubs in the city, serving the most underserved children since 1884, providing programs which foster youth development and empowerment so that they have the tools to succeed in life. With a support system that includes the diligent efforts of their staff, Board of Trustees, and the benevolent support of public and private partners, Madison has been able to provide the support needed for more than 5,000 children this year.
Along with highlighting this organization and the 2016 Youth of the Year, two fearless leaders were also honored that night, champion of youth honorees Frank Fortino and Peter Serpico. Fortino, president and CEO of Metropolis Group, Inc., a code and zoning consulting company, is a member of the Board of Trustees and is extremely proud of the organizations mission and community impact this far. He would like to extend a huge thank you to all of his supporters that contributed to this wonderful cause!
