On Thursday, May 22nd, from 6 to 8 p.m., Professional Women in Construction (PWC) will present the latest installment in its Continuing Ed series, a free program - "Sue Everyone! The Anatomy of a Construction Lawsuit," a dramatization that will involve participants in the litigation process. In a mock mediation-style presentation, audience members will be given a rare inside look at the players and claims in construction litigation, including construction defect claims, personal injury claims, workers' compensation claims, and scaffolding laws. Parties to these lawsuits typically include owners, design professionals, and contractors. The audience will also have an opportunity to share their opinions - and frustrations - on the litigation process.
Speakers from Goldberg Segalla will include: Theodore Baum, Esq., partner; Eric Cohen, Esq., special counsel; Ellen Greiper, Esq., partner; Sean McKinley, Esq., partner; and Theodore Ucinski III, Esq., special counsel. Goldberg Segalla attorneys handle all forms of dispute resolution and provide proactive counsel to help minimize and manage risk in a broad array of areas.
The program will be held at the General Society of Mechanics & Tradesmen, 20 West 44Âth St. Admission is free; advance registration is required. Contact
