According to longtime architect Warren Gran, he is no longer a partner at GranKriegel Associates. After over five years as partner of the architectural office specializing in housing, educational, civic and community facilities, urban design, and historic restoration projects, he plans to launch this year. "I've been practicing as an architect for over four decades and am looking forward to the next version of my practice. I'm very excited about several opportunities on the horizon," said Gran. Details for Gran's new venture will be announced shortly. In the interim, Gran is offering consulting services and advising clients on matters related to feasibility, cost analysis and budgets, and design. An award-winning architect whose work has been published by a variety of architectural design publications, Gran enjoys a strong reputation for projects such as the renovation of and addition to PS 14, which won an AIA Design Award from the New York Chapter. Gran has also been awarded the NYS AIA Boston Society of Architects Award for his work on the Lighthouse Charter School in the Bronx. Gran is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, has served on the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, and has been a design critic at Pratt Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Penn State University and studied planning at Pratt Institute. He has owned his own firm, Warren Gran & Associates, and has been a partner at Gran Sultan Architects as well.
