The long-awaited topping out of the Fulton Street Transit Center, the 180,000 s/f, $176 million upgrade to the MTA's subway hub in Lower Manhattan, took place with an onsite ceremony. A team from Plaza Construction, named general contractor of the Center in a joint venture with Schiavone Construction, celebrated with MTA and city officials and guests. Upon completion in 2014, the Fulton Transit Center will serve as a major transportation hub for eight subway lines.
