Spotlights
The professionals at AFR Furniture Rental recently completed a large office rental project for Godinger Silver, a two generation family business specializing in the gift ware industry. After their corporate offices in Brooklyn, were destroyed by fire, Godingers' insurance company adjuster Eric Gruber, was able to obtain coverage for his client, Isaac Godinger, which enabled the firm to remain operational.
At first, Godinger Silver had planned to utilize some space in the Merchandise Mart Plaza 7 West 34th St. in Manhattan where they also have a showroom. Unfortunately, the space wasn't large enough, and the city's Fire Department would not grant them a certificate of occupancy.
Godinger was able to locate an alternate site in the Maspeth neighborhood, at the old Pepsi bottling plant, with the help of his commercial brokerage team, of Michael O'Brien, III, of M.C. O'Briren, Inc., and Yossi Hackner, managing director of Sholom & Zuckerbrot Realty LLC.
