According to VVA, LLC, Richard Baker has rejoined their team of project management professionals as senior associate, having worked for the firm almost a decade ago during its early years in business. For the past seven years, Baker ran his own architectural practice, Richard Thomas Baker Architect, working on projects throughout the NY-Tri State area. An industry veteran, he has thirty years of experience in architectural design, project management, and construction management, gained in the design & construction field.
Recently, Baker was a consulting architect on a project for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in Tarrytown. He provided on site construction administrative services for a new 210,000 s/f research facility housing laboratories and support space, an animal research vivarium, a bio reactor and process areas, data center, general and executive offices, and a conference and training center. He also oversaw complete architectural services for the renovation and upgrade of the Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church Complex.
Lorenzo Vascotto, Managing Director of VVA said, "We are very pleased that Richard has rejoined VVA. With a long and successful track record in the industry he has quickly reestablished himself as a highly value added member of our team."
Before running his own business and working with VVA, Baker held positions with Swanke Hayden Connell Architects as Architect and Project Manager, and with the Japanese retailer Takashimaya, during the design and build out of their former flagship Fifth Avenue store.
"It's a real pleasure to come back to the VVA team," said Baker. "They've seen great growth and development during the last decade and I look forward to being a part of the firm's continued growth."
