In two separate transactions totaling 20,000 s/f, Colliers International has arranged a long-term lease and extended an existing tenant's lease, at 122 West 27th St.
Perry Mesmer, an executive managing director at Colliers International, represented the landlord, Northern Start Textile Corp., in both transactions.
J Edlin Interiors Ltd., a producer of custom furniture, relocated within the area to West 27th St. because its business had grown by 25%, expanding its footprint to 10,000 s/f.
Corebrand Communications, LLC., a corporate branding firm, renewed its 10,000 s/f lease in the building.
"Corebrand was happy with the building and thought it best for its business to extend the lease," Mesmer said. "For J Edlin, we were able to provide the expansion space they needed while helping them remain in a neighborhood central to their industry."
122 West 27th St. is a 120,000-s/f office building in trendy Chelsea, just one block from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Other tenants in the building include Micro Office Solutions, Howell, Belanger, Castelli Engineering, Sonic Boom, Inc. and the executive offices of Greenwich House, Inc.
Marc Ellman, of Ellman Realty Advisors, represented Core Brand in the transaction.
