According to David Pressberg, the SCG Retail broker representing Carnegie Hill Vets, "I needed to find Dr. Miller something better than his existing space on East 89th, but it had to be nearby so that the new location was still convenient for his current clients."
Carnegie Hill Vets is owned by board certified specialist, Dr. Alex Miller. He and his staff have provided exceptional animal care in the neighborhood for 30 years.
1703 Third Ave. is referred to as Normandy Court. Owned by Millstein Properties, the building has 1,400 apartments and the ground/basement retail is anchored by Gristedes. TD Bank is on the corner at 96th St. Carnegie Hill Vets will be adjacent to the specialty pet shop Furry Paws. The space has been vacant for about a year.
"We're very pleased with the deal," said Dr. Miller. "David did a great job, recognizing that we needed to stay in the neighborhood and wanted to find something fast."
Pressberg was the only broker on the deal. Lester Schwalb of Millstein Properties represented the landlord on the transaction. Carnegie Hill Vets will take possession of the space in early February and plan on opening in May.
David Pressberg joined SCG Retail in late 2010. He's a third generation real estate professional and a partner in the Orlando Hotel in West Hollywood.
