Petsios joins VHB as corporate managing director

VHB welcomes Tammy Petsios as corporate managing director for air quality and noise services. Petsios previously served as vice president and national practice manager for air quality and acoustics at Parsons Brinckerhoff, and has 30 years of experience managing and preparing air quality and greenhouse gas analyses for New York City development and transportation projects of all sizes and complexities. "Tammy has been a leader in the analysis of air quality impacts in the transportation and development sector for thirty years," said Jonathan Feinstein, senior vice president for environmental services. "Her insight, creativity, and market knowledge will be an important asset in the growth of our environmental practice." Tammy has expertise in CEQR/SEQRA/NEPA-compliant air quality impact analyses for all levels of environmental review and documentation along with in-depth understanding of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and New York City environmental review processes and standards. Notable projects include the East Midtown Rezoning, No. 7 Subway Extension/Hudson Yards Rezoning, Western Rail Yards Development, and Moynihan Station Redevelopment. She has also managed large on-call services contracts for New York City Transit and the New York City Department of City Planning. "Adding Tammy to our team means faster, better, and more strategic air quality and noise services for New York City agencies and developers," said Nancy Doon, New York City Director of Environmental Services. "The sophistication of air quality modeling and noise analysis in the city demands the very best." A LEED Accredited Professional, Tammy is a well-known industry leader and has been affiliated with the Transportation Research Board's "Transportation & Air Quality" and "Transportation and Sustainability" subcommittees, as well as the Society of Women Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, and Air and Waste Management Association.
