Perfect Interior Designs opens 5,000 s/f gallery

October 27, 2008 - Spotlights
Perfect Interior Designs, Inc. (P.I.D.), a leading distributor of fine engineered wood flooring in New York, has opened a chic, 5,000 s/f  showroom on the third floor of 18 West 21st St., which will be open to both trade and consumers by appointment, according to Steven Skutelsky, director of business development for P.I.D.
The loft-like space was designed by Arsha Cazazian of DIA/WKS and built by Wonder Works Construction in just under eight months. The dramatically black sheathed, back lit gallery section has been designed to highlight the various products distributed by P.I.D., and features hundreds of six-foot high wood displays from three major mills, i.e., LoPark from Germany, Trivaneta Parchetti from Italy, and the popular Laddes brand.
As the distributor and/or consultant for hundreds of projects in new condominium and multifamily development projects, residential conversions, institutions, airports and offices throughout the greater New York metro area, P.I.D. is well known among developers, architects and designers for its exclusive product lines and  rigorous testing practices, primarily American Standard Testing Materials (ASTM). The 20 year old firm has always had warehouses in Brooklyn and New Jersey, but the gallery is its first dedicated product showcase and also houses the corporate offices.
"We wanted a space that truly showcased the beauty of the wood flooring products we represent," said Skutelsky. "What we have created is a setting reflective of a fine art gallery. We now have a space in which we can see clients by appointment and are able to work with their designs and budgets to ensure they are choosing the perfect product for their projects."
P.I.D.'s premier line is LoPark featuring a range of styles of green flooring products certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
