The Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island unveiled its slate of officers for 2011 and appointed two to its executive board. David Pennetta succeeds Jeffrey Schwartzberg as president of the organization, starting a two-year term in January. Pennetta, an executive vice president at Oxford & Simpson Realty, Inc, served a previous term as president in 1998-1999. The new vice president is Gary Joel Schacker, succeeding Pennetta. The new secretary is Kyle Burkhardt, succeeding Jack Britvan. David Chinitz becomes treasurer, succeeding Schacker. Schwartzberg was appointed chairman of the CIBS advisory board. Chinitz and Burkhardt join the executive board, replacing Britvan and Schwartzberg. Alberto Fiorini and Dan Gazzola were newly elected to the board. Bob Desmond was re-elected. "The Long Island brokerage profession will be well served by the new slate of directors and officers beginning next month," Schwartzberg said.
