I was fortunate to meet a contact at AREW who afforded me and a partner the opportunity to start our own real estate consulting/marketing business. Throughout the years clients came directly or indirectly through AREW contacts. Many good friends and business resources have resulted from my participation in AREW. Most memorable AREW moment: Memorable and surprising was when I was presented with the Founder's Award at the end of the year of my AREW presidency. At that moment when my friend and business partner in the "chocolate business," Alyssa Gaines, presented the award for my contribution to the organization I was overwhelmed.
