Passero Associates opens new office in Newburgh, NY - hires LaPorta as manager

Newburgh, NY Passero Associates (Passero), a full-service engineering and architecture firm headquartered in Rochester, has opened its newest office in the Hudson Valley at 19 Front St., on the waterfront. Passero continues the firm’s active growth in the Northeast from this office location and from their offices in Albany, NY and Burlington, VT. Passero currently provides planning, engineering, and architectural design services to numerous municipal, airport, and private developer clients in New York and New England.

Jess Sudol, PE, president of Passero, said, “Expanding our services in the Hudson Valley and New England will allow us to both better service our clients in this region and to provide new opportunities for our firm and our people. With our exceptional culture, key location, and dynamic projects, Passero offers civil engineers and architects expansive career prospects while supporting their clients and communities.”

Chris LaPorta, PE, who was hired as the Passero’s Hudson Valley office manager, said, “Working and raising my family in the Hudson Valley has been a fantastic experience. It is an honor to represent Passero Associates, a 49-year-old multi-disciplinary firm headquartered in my hometown of Rochester, as they bring their services and expertise to serve the Hudson Valley.”

LaPorta has a wide range of experience providing residential, commercial, K-12, health care and municipal clients with civil engineering services. His use of technology combined with his practicality and judgment have guided multidisciplinary teams to successful execution of many projects. LaPorta has an MS in civil engineering and BS in civil engineering technology. He is the president-elect of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Mid-Hudson Branch and serves on the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. board of directors.
