Outside the Region: SIOR names McCormick as organization’s new CEO

Irvine, CA SIOR has appointed a new CEO, Tom McCormick. He has been a long-standing SIOR member for 33 years. McCormick has represented the organization at the leadership level, serving as SIOR Global past president, SIOR Foundation past president, his local chapter’s past president, and most recently as the operations director on the board. 

McCormick is the first SIOR designee to hold an executive position within the organization.

An industrial specialist, McCormick has had a long-spanning career in commercial real estate, serving most recently as senior vice president – national accounts for Rockefeller Group International. In this role, McCormick’s responsibilities included development of new opportunities for industrial and office real estate business. McCormick began his real estate career in 1981 with Coldwell Banker Commercial before joining what would become Colliers Macaulay Nicolls, a privately held Canadian-based commercial brokerage company with 85 offices around the world. He served for three years as President of the firm before joining Panattoni as their COO.

As a long-time SIOR designee myself, I am thrilled that Tom has agreed to take on the challenge as our new leader. His commitment and service to SIOR has been demonstrated across the board. Tom’s management skills and depth of knowledge makes him a solid mentor and role model for our members, staff, and the industry as a whole. Please join me in welcoming and supporting Tom as he oversees the growth and visibility of SIOR in the global real estate market.
