Chapter of the NYS Society of Professional Engineers (NYSSPE) is hosting a dinner and presentation by Deborah Taylor, AIA, LEED AP, and chief sustainability officer for the Dept. of Buildings. Energy Conservation Code, serves as technical liaison to the mayor's office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability, as staff representative to the public/private mayor's Sustainability Advisory Board and as department representative on the Green Infrastructure Task Force. She has participated in the development of the landmark Greener, Greater Buildings Plan legislation to reduce energy use in existing buildings, for the Green Codes Task Force proposals and for the amendment of the NYCECC for 2010. Taylor has served on the Code Development Committee for both the 2009 and 2012 International Energy Conservation Codes and the 2010 State Energy Code.
