NYC and Downstate chapters of SIOR installs new board

New York, NY The NYC and Downstate Chapter of Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) convened their first in person meeting since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. On February 10th, 20 SIORs and their guests met at Maiella Restaurant on the waterfront in Long Island City.

The membership thanked John La Ruffa, SIOR from Cushman Wakefield, Long Island, for acting as president of the chapter for the last two years.

A new slate of officers was nominated and elected. The new president will be Steve Kornspun, SIOR of RM Friedland Realty in Westchester; the vice president will be Mario Asaro, SIOR of Industry One Realty Corp. in Long Island; the treasurer will be Jonathan Stravitz, Esq., SIOR of SVN BIOC in Manhattan; and the secretary will be Kenneth Salzman of Lee and Associates in Manhattan.

Committee assignments were allocated and the calendar for the upcoming year was approved.

Education, membership development and retention, as well as sponsorship opportunities for the Chapter are all goals for 2022.
