Newmark Knight Frank has promoted Paul Gojkovich III and Michael McCall to the position of managing director. They were previously directors.
"These are well-earned promotions," said managing principal John Goodkind. "Paul and Mike have worked tirelessly on behalf of their clients and demonstrate a keen understanding of their needs. We are very pleased to recognize their efforts, as well as their contributions to the Newmark Knight Frank team."
Gojkovich, a Fairfield County, Conn., broker specializing in both tenant and landlord representation, negotiated the two largest leasing transactions in Greenwich, Conn., for 2010, which included his representation of a large financial firm in its relocation to 64,937 s/f at 33 Benedict Place, and his representation of Gateway Associates in the 44,000 s/f relocation of Marc Fisher Footwear's corporate HQ back to 777 West Putnam Ave.
In 2010, Gojkovich successfully closed 21 deals totaling close to 200,000 s/f in Fairfield County while representing both tenants and landlords. Apart from the Greenwich transactions, Gojkovich also relocated MKM Partners into its new 14,712 s/f headquarters at 300 First Stamford Place in Stamford. During the year, he was appointed as exclusive leasing agent for two of Greenwich's premier properties including the 130,000 s/f Greenwich Gateway at 777 West Putnam Ave. representing Gateway Associates and tasked with leasing the largest block of available space in the Greenwich non-CBD submarket. The Berni Companies also appointed Gojkovich as its exclusive agent for The Anchorage, its 32,500 s/f office property directly on Greenwich Harbor at 660 Steamboat Rd. He also represents Sound Shore Partners at 1 Sound Shore Dr., where he successfully closed six deals on behalf of the landlord over the past year. He has been awarded the Co-Star "Power Broker" award in 2007 and 2008.
As a Westchester County, N.Y., broker specializing in both tenant and landlord representation, McCall kicked off 2010 in high gear, closing 11 deals in the 1st quarter alone, including the 24,883 s/f lease for All Star Marketing Group at 2 Skyline Dr. in Hawthorne, N.Y. Throughout 2010, McCall closed 50 deals totaling 200,000 s/f. During the first half of the year, he was part of the exclusive leasing team representing Normandy Partners' 14-building, 1.5 million s/f "The Exchange" portfolio in the I-287 East submarket, closing 24 deals on behalf of both the landlord and a number of the tenants as well.
Among McCall's other notable 2010-2011 tenant rep leasing transactions are the renewal and expansion of MyPublisher.com in a total of 31,500 s/f at 400 Columbus Ave. in Valhalla; a 8,533 s/f relocation of Search for Change, Inc. to 115 Stevens Avenue in Valhalla; and the 8,390 s/f expansion and renewal of Complus Data Innovations at 560 White Plains Rd. in Tarrytown.
In mid-year, McCall was appointed as the exclusive leasing agent by George Comfort & Sons and O'Connor Capital Group for the Centre of Purchase, a four-building, 670,000 s/f class A office campus located at 1-4 Manhattanville Rd. in Purchase, N.Y., which is widely regarded as one of the finest suburban office parks in the northeast.
When not tracking down his next deal, McCall can be found on the lacrosse field where he is a volunteer lacrosse coach for the Rye Youth Program.
McCall has been awarded the Co-Star "Power Broker" award in 2008 and 2009. He was also named Mack-Cali Realty Corp.'s top transaction broker of the year in 2009.
