Newman and Lucarelli of Handler secure 2,205 s/f lease on behalf of the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Foundation

Continuing its success in representing non-profit organizations, Handler Real Estate Organization has arranged a five-year, 2,205 s/f lease on behalf of the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Foundation, which is moving its headquarters to 341 West 38th Street. To better serve its constituents, the foundation is relocating from Akron, Ohio. Led by Florence Kranitz, the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Foundation offers support and information to families and individuals affected by Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a rare, fatal brain disorder that leads to a rapid decrease of mental function and movement. Peter Newman and Rosanne Lucarelli of Handler represented the tenant in the transaction. Ian Weiss, of ABS Partners, represented landlord Central Properties, LLC in the transaction. Located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, 341 West 38th Street is a 12-story, 55,000 s/f office building with convenient access to numerous subway and bus lines, as well as both Penn Station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
