New York Life originates $103 million in financing for The Lanthian Apartments

Manhattan, NY New York Life Real Estate Investors, on behalf of New York Life Insurance Co., has originated $103 million in financing for The Lanthian Apartments, a 209-unit high-rise apartment building at 377 East 33rd St. The property recently underwent a renovation program that upgraded unit interiors, common areas and building amenities to a luxury standard.

“We are pleased to originate another loan and expand our relationship with Verbena Road Holdings,” said Keith Duane, director in New York Life Real Estate Investors’ Northeast regional office. “The asset is in a prime location set to benefit from the nearby growth and commitment of the NYU Langone Medical Center and the development of the Alexandria Center for Life Sciences.”
