Moinian Group inks 3,672 s/f lease with HOUSEWORK

Manhattan, NY The Moinian Group has signed a 3,672 s/f, 10-year lease with HOUSEWORK, the high-energy, music-powered, full-body workout method at 12 East 18th St. in the Flatiron district. The new space will serve as HOUSEWORK’s first-ever flagship studio.

Gregg Weisser, executive managing director of commercial and retail real estate at The Moinian Group represented the landlord (The Moinian Group) in the transaction. The tenant (HOUSEWORK) was represented by Annie Squier, director at Lee & Associates NYC.

“12 East 18th St. offers HOUSEWORK a prime location in a highly desirable and accessible neighborhood that will allow them to best reach their target customer base and scale their operation as they continue on their growth trajectory,” said Weisser. “HOUSEWORK’s founder, Sydney Miller, started her fitness career in this very building over a decade ago, so we are thrilled to welcome HOUSEWORK to the community of businesses operating at the property.”

HOUSEWORK is more than just a workout, it’s a dynamic experience that blends low-impact Pilates-based exercises with high-intensity cardio and strength training, all choreographed to the beat of the music. Inspired by the electric energy of a house music DJ set, Miller created HOUSEWORK to empower clients to push their limits, embrace movement, and find confidence in every beat-driven routine. The brand has cultivated a devoted community both online and through sold-out pop-ups across the country, and now, it’s bringing its signature energy to a permanent home in a coveted NYC neighborhood.

“Securing a flagship studio for HOUSEWORK was particularly meaningful for Sydney given her history at this location,” said Squier. “She spent years teaching here when it was SoulCycle, and now she’s returning to make it her own. It was a perfect fit, and Moinian recognized that as well.”

12 East 18th Street is one of seven buildings that make up The Moinian Group’s Flatiron Commercial Portfolio, totaling 122,000 s/f and located within the Midtown South office district. Recently, The Moinian Group facilitated 29,000 s/f of leases across five of the properties with Oden Technologies, Kids at Work, Yinova Management Company, PlayPlay, Cobalt Service Partners and Tej Beauty Enterprises, Inc.

Each property within the Flatiron portfolio is near major subway lines, a range of dining options, hotels and nightlife. All offer amenities including newly renovated, single tenant full floors, bright and open layouts, private bathrooms, pantries and 24/7 building access.
