Metropolitan Realty Associates launches self-storage facility in The Shops at Nanuet

Nanuet, NY Metropolitan Reality Associates, LLC, (MRA), under the leadership of CEO and founder Joe Farkas, launched a state-of-the-art self-storage facility within an outdoor lifestyle regional shopping center, The Shops at Nanuet. Andover Properties – a nationally recognized self-storage management company – will serve as operator of the dynamic facility under its Storage King USA brand. Formerly a department store, the property is now a dynamic self-storage facility.

Farkas said, "The replacement of an obsolete retail facility with a state-of-the-art asset designed for durability and predictable cash flow was a natural solution for this site."

"Nanuet has a robust and expanding self-storage market. That backdrop, coupled with this facility’s strategic location within a thriving regional mall and management by a best-in-class self-storage operator, makes this property well-positioned for the future," added Farkas. The innovative reconstruction includes two new passenger/freight elevators, escalators, climate control, and 24-hour access systems, ensuring seamless customer service and rental capability. Further enhancements include four redesigned loading dock positions, optimizing freight reception. With more than 865 units ranging from 25 to 200 square feet, the facility caters to diverse user needs, offering flexibility to expand unit sizes as required.

The revitalization of this space not only signifies MRA's dedication to innovative development but its commitment to transforming and enhancing communities through strategic real estate initiatives.
