Meet the USGBC Members: Frank Dalene and Sam Pinto

Frank Dalene invented ICEMAN, founded Carbon Factor, Inc., Hamptons Green Alliance, and Telemark, Inc. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Nyack College, was inducted into CICU 2010 Alumni Hall of Distinction, chairs USGBC-LI East End Committee, served on several advisory boards, board of directors, judged two national design award contests, authored several articles. Dalene serves on East Hampton Town Energy Sustainability Committee, is active in several philanthropic organizations, and an international speaker on net zero, carbon neutral, sustainable buildings. Sam Pinto is an active member of the USGBC's Long Island Chapter and currently sits as the co-chairperson of the emerging professionals committee. Having starting his membership while working in his family's environmental restoration business, he is now running Innovative Water, which he founded in 2009. As a LEED AP BD+C & a Certified Water Specialist his focus is in water filtration and drinking water systems, where his mission is to move people away from their dependence on bottled water.
