Meet the USGBC Member - Mascali

Rosemary Mascali is manager of Transit Solutions, a federally funded program of the MTA whose mission is to promote transit ridership to improve Long Island's air quality and reduce traffic congestion. She encourages Long Island employers to implement the pre-tax transit benefit program which can reduce employees' transit expenses by 40%. A graduate of New York University's Stern School of Business and long time Manhasset, Mascali is also chairwoman of the USGBC-LI Sustainable Transportation Committee and co-chair of the annual Car Free Day Long Island event. She is a LEED AP and has helped document transportation related credits on numerous LEED projects, a service she offers Long Island companies at no charge. When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
