McDonald installed as director of Suffolk County Bar Association, officer of Suffolk Academy of Law

According to Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., William McDonald was installed as a director of the Suffolk County Bar Association at a ceremony held at the Hyatt Regency at Wind Watch. McDonald, an associate in the Health Law Department and White Collar Crime & Investigations Practice Group, was installed for a three-year term by the honorable C. Randall Hinrichs, J.S.C, along with hon. Andrew Crecca, Diane Farrell and hon. John Kelly. Additionally, McDonald was also sworn in as an officer of the Suffolk Academy of Law for a one-year term. In his law practice, McDonald brings 15 years of experience to his representation of clients. He defends healthcare providers against audits by Medicare and Medicaid as well as the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General. Physicians facing professional discipline, loss of hospital privileges or exclusion from Medicare or Medicaid actively seek his counsel. On the transactional side, McDonald advises healthcare clients on Stark Law and Anti-kickback compliance regulations and in mergers and acquisitions of physician practices. McDonald began his career at the Nassau County and Suffolk County District Attorney's Offices. During that time, he tried cases involving theft, DWI and violent crimes. He prosecuted street gangs, organized crime and cases involving conspiracy to commit murder. His prosecutions took him to federal court where he served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney. During law school, McDonald was an active competitor in all the school's moot court boards, and was Editor in Chief of the Buffalo Journal of International Law.
