Jericho, NY More than 200 golfers raised nearly $250,000 for breast health education on Long Island at the 23rd Annual Maurer Golf Classic, hosted on May 31st, at two clubs, the Tam O’Shanter Country Club in Brookville and the Meadow Brook Club in Jericho. The event was organized by Maurer Foundation volunteer Jodee Sarisky, of Kaled Management located in Westbury, who herself is a breast cancer survivor and volunteer guest lecturer at high schools across Long Island.

As part of the day, golfers tested their skills against pros in the “Beat the Pro” contest, teeing off against John Schmitt, former NY Jet and Super Bowl champion at the Meadow Brook Club and golf professional Mark Brown at Tam O’Shanter Country Club.  The Maurer Foundation also offered an afternoon Golf Clinic, cocktail reception at the Meadow Brook Club, golf award presentation, raffles, and an auction featuring over a dozen one-of-a-kind luxury gifts, golf opportunities, event tickets and getaways. One lucky supporter won almost $10,000 in the 50/50 raffle.

The event was sponsored by Kaled Management and The Kalikow Group, and cocktail sponsors Aggressive Energy, Champion Elevator and Chief Media.
