Maron joins Happold Consulting
According to international engineering firm Buro Happold, strategic planner Ariella Rosenberg Maron, LEED AP, has joined its strategic management company, Happold Consulting. Maron brings over a decade of experience in urban planning with expertise in sustainability planning, energy management, and climate action. Prior to joining Happold Consulting, Maron served in various roles in city government, including deputy director of the mayor's office of long-term planning and sustainability. She participated on the core team that developed PlaNYC to address air and water quality, energy, and climate change - the critical issues that are facing the city, as Hurricane Sandy recently demonstrated.

Maron most recently served as Deputy Commissioner for the Division of Energy Management at the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services. Prior to that, she was Deputy Director of the NYC Mayor's Office of Long Term Planning and Sustainability, a senior project manager with the Energy Division of the New York City Economic Development Corporation, a city planner with the Bronx office of the New York City Department of City Planning, and a consultant with economic consulting firm PA Consulting Group. She also taught at Pratt Institute's Graduate Center for Planning and the Environment from 2006 to 2010.
Maron serves on the boards of GreenHome NYC and the New York City Energy Efficiency Corporation. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
