Marcus joins Sunrise Association board of directors and named corporate chair of SunriseWALKS 2016

Woodbury, NY Steven Marcus, managing partner of Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C., has been named to the board of directors of the Sunrise Association.  The mission of the Sunrise Association is to bring back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings world-wide, through the creation of Sunrise Day Camps, Year-Round Programs and In-Hospital Recreational Activities, all offered free of charge. In addition, Marcus has been named corporate chair of the SunriseWALK 2016 which will be held on Sunday, June 5 at the Sunrise Day Camp at the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds in Wheatley Heights.  “I have reached a point in my life where I want to give back.” Marcus said.  “After having volunteered and seeing firsthand the positive experience that the Sunrise campers and their families receive, it fueled my passion for getting more involved at a higher level where I could make a difference.”
