What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2012? : We orchestrated a JV partnership for a portfolio of eight walk-ups in the East Village, West Village and SoHo. Kushner Cos. along with an international real estate fund acquired the buildings from Benchmark. This venture represented one of the largest packages sold in downtown this year. What are your predictions for commercial real estate in 2013? : The real estate recovery is set to advance in 2013 as modest gains in leasing, rents, and pricing will extend across U.S. markets from coast-to-coast and improve prospects for all property sectors. I anticipate to see investors allocate substantial sums of capital to the real estate asset class. Those who are patient and willing to rethink their expectations and adapt to market realities are expected to come out ahead this year. We will continue to see more and more transactions through-out the year in NY, with some major Joint Venture Groups. What are your resolutions for 2013? : Continue to put together Joint Ventures to acquire larger packages of properties in NYC, and the Boroughs. In just few short months Azad Property Group has made a huge mark in NYC real estate and would like to build on the in 2013. Also continue to build on the hard work of our Volunteers at AZAD 4 KIds, and raise awareness around the real estate community for all illnesses relating to children. It is going to be a good year.
