500 Mamaroneck Avenue - Harrison, NY

500 Mamaroneck Ave., owned by Malkin Properties, has earned the Energy Star designation from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), according to Jeffrey Newman, executive VP for Malkin Properties, the marketing and managing agent for the building. The designation signifies that the property meets strict energy performance standards set by EPA and uses less energy, is less expensive to operate, and causes fewer greenhouse gas emissions than its peers.
500 Mamaroneck Ave. is a five-story, 285,000 s/f, multi-tenanted office building.
"We are honored to be federally validated for our sustainability efforts," said Newman. "Malkin Properties is absolutely committed to the promotion of energy efficiency, water use reduction, recycling, and indoor environmental quality.
"Our sustainability efforts provide several advantages, aside from the substantial cost savings," said Newman. "The quality-of-life benefits of our programs lead to healthier, more productive workers who take less sick days and stay with their employers for longer periods. We are proud to help our tenants increase employee satisfaction, and we find it rewarding to be recognized as an industry leader in sustainability and energy efficiency."
A recipient of The Office Building of the Year Award (TOBY) from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Westchester County, 500 Mamaroneck features on-going building wide enhancements, including recent upgrades within the fitness center; in-house concierge service; Café 500 dining facility and catering service; a tenants-only fitness center with locker room facilities; tenants-only multimedia conference facility; free on-site parking; 24/7 on-site security; a broad range of telecommunications systems; an ATM; "park-like" landscaping; and tenants-only shuttle service to the Mamaroneck train station.
