Long Island Industrial welcomes Tsiolis
According to Long Island Industrial, Tommy Tsiolis has been named director of leasing. Tsiolis, who was recognized as one of Long Island's "Power Brokers" by CoStar Group, will focus on the marketing and leasing of Long Island Industrial's portfolio, comprising 3.6 million s/f.
"Tommy has a proven track record of success and we are excited that he has decided to join our team at Long Island Industrial," said Bruce Federman, director of real estate for Long Island Industrial. "We are confident that he will play a valuable role in generating leasing activity for the opportunities within our portfolio."
Prior to joining Long Island Industrial, Tsiolis worked at Colliers International as a senior director in the company's Long Island office. While at Colliers, Tsiolis played a key role in the completion of transactions totaling approximately 5 million s/f, and was consistently ranked as one of the company's top producers.
Before his tenure there, Tsiolis served at Sutton & Edwards, Inc., which was eventually acquired by Colliers International. He is also a member of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS).
"Long Island Industrial has a strong market position and I see this as a great opportunity to leverage my experience and understanding of the local market to contribute to the portfolio's success," said Tsiolis.
Tsiolis has been honored with numerous awards, including being bestowed by Colliers International with its "Tenderfoot" Award in 2002 after Tsiolis completed an above average amount of sales and leases within his first year. He also received recognition by Colliers as a "Top 5 Producer" in 2008 and a "Top 10 Producer" in 2009 and 2010. Recently Tommy was awarded the 2012 "Top Industrial Sales Award" from Long Island Business News for his key role in completing a transaction for WAC Lighting of an approximately 145,000-square-foot industrial building to house its new U.S. Headquarters.
