Long Island chapter of SMPS selects board of directors for 2008-2009

The Long Island Chapter for the Society for Marketing Professional Services recently chose their board of directors for the 2008-2009 program year. The new board members are: president - Andrew Weinberg, CPSM (regional marketing director - STV, Inc.); vice president/president-elect - Matthew DeLange (director of marketing & strategic communications - Dvirka & Bartilucci Consulting Engineers); immediate past president - Jane Felsen Gertler, CPSM (director of marketing - Spector Group); secretary - Ellen Talley (territory manager - The New Patcraft & Designweave); treasurer - Harvey Bienstock, P.E. (director of marketing - James LaSala & Associates); director of communications - Rebecca Lipscomb (marketing director - Hirani Engineering & Land Surveying, P.C.); director of membership - Diana Soldano, CPSM (director of marketing - Eschbacher VHB Engineering, Surveying and Landscape Architecture, P.C.); director of programs - Ann Middleman (principal - ADM Marketing & Research Consulting); director of sponsorship - John Rivera (project manager- Future Tech Consultants of NY, Inc.); at-large director - Tracy Lobdell (library specialist - Nu-Tech Products, Inc); public relations chair - Liz O'Rourke Kupcha (marketing director - Cameron Engineering & Associates, LLP) On June 12, SMPS-LI hosted their annual golf outing at the Stonebridge Golf Links & County Club in Smithtown. Over 100 attendees participated in the activities that were in place that day including lunch, a round of golf, a golf clinic and dinner. A host of raffle and auction prizes were generously donated by the Long Island AEC community with all proceeds benefiting the Sarah Grace Foundation. On July 17, SMPS-LI will host their Annual Meet & Greet at the Westbury Manor located at 1100 Jericho Turnpike in Westbury. This event draws SMPS members and friends to meet the SMPS-LI board, learn about upcoming events for the 2008-2009 program year and sign up for committee involvement.
