LICN members only summer party held at the Soundview Golf Country Club

LICN held its members only summer party at the Soundview Golf Country Club. Over 85 members attended and the warm, sunny weather made it a delightful party inside and outdoors as well. Members of LICN are entitled to two parties; one in January at the Fox hollow and one at Soundview. Each year members of the LICN vote for the recipient of the prestigious Realtor of The Year award. This year's award was presented to Leonard Primack, MBA. Primack has served on the board of directors for years and served as secretary. Education New York University - MBA, 1966 City College of New York - BA, 1957 Background Mortgage broker, financial consultant - Leonard Primack Associates, Ltd. He started the firm in 1977 specializing in commercial/industrial domestic and foreign financing. Prior to forming his own firm, he was a security analyst/investment counselor. Primack was associated with such highly regarded firms as Chase Manhattan Bank, T. Rowe Price (his assistant), United States Securities and Exchange Commission, Lazard Freres and Lionel D. Edie (then the investment counseling arm of Merrill Lynch). Former Member - Town of Islip Industrial Development Commission. We are proud to honor Leonard Primack with the 2009 Realtor of the Year award. This award was presented by last year's recipient Gabor Karsai. With the help of Sherry Rivera there was no shortage of door prizes. LICN president Alan Hendrickson was pleased to see so many of our members, sponsors and affiliates. Hendrickson said, "The goal of LICN is to help educate our members in the continuing challenging industry of commercial real estate. This event helps bring commercial realtors together." This year some of the members played golf prior to the start of the event. This may be a way of extending the party and build the relationships that LICN promotes.

When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
