Lichtenstein and Klett of Fortitude address Long Island Appraisal Institute members

Over 50 professional real estate appraisers attended the September 10 event held at Westbury Manor, hosted by the Long Island chapter of the Appraisal Institute. The speakers for the evening were Alan Lichtenstein, financial advisor, and John Klett, vice president of investments, Fortitude Investment Group, who spoke about "1031 Exchanges and Impact on Value of Investment Property, Eminent Domain Proceeds, and Environmental Easements."

When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
