Lendlease hires Henley to lead NY dev. business

Monique Henley

New York, ny Lendlease appointed Monique Henley as executive general manager for the Americas development business. Henley is based out of Lendlease’s NYC office and reports directly to Mark Dickinson, managing director of development, Americas.

“Monique’s breadth of development experience and proven track record of operational success, across the full project life cycle, will benefit the entire organization as we continue the growth and execution of our East Coast pipeline,” said Dickinson. “I look forward to working with her to bring pioneering projects to market and further establish Lendlease’s leadership in sustainable, equitable development that enhances the communities in which we operate.”

Henley will lead Lendlease’s integrated projects in the NY market and manage a cross-functional team within the development group.

Supporting the growth of Lendlease’s business, her focus is to identify and pursue development opportunities and large-scale urban regeneration projects in the New York region, facilitate collaborative relationships to guarantee project delivery success, and support development efforts nationally.

Henley joins Lendlease with two decades of real estate experience, through which she has sourced, developed or asset managed 8.7 million s/f of institutional real estate, including 15 projects spanning the residential, office and mixed-use sectors across the U.S., including the east coast.

“Lendlease’s integrated platform affords unique opportunities to contribute to the urban environment, and it’s especially meaningful to continue my career in New York at such a pivotal time for our city,” Henley said. “In assuming this leadership position, I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues and various industry and community stakeholders to ensure our projects align with the evolving needs of the market and, in doing so, generate positive social, financial and environmental outcomes, both today and in the future.”

Prior to Lendlease, Henley was Vice President and Regional Director - Southeast Development for Rockefeller Group. Recently, her focus has been on the establishment of a residential and mixed-use platform in Atlanta, culminating in a 19-story, 64-unit condominium development, as well as land sourcing and pre-development of a 60-story multifamily and office tower.
